Leadership
Bert McCutcheon - Senior Pastor
Pastor Bert grew up on a farm, three miles from Roblin. He accepted Christ as a child, and later sensed God's call to full time ministry.
He attended Roblin Wesleyan Church with his family until his departure to Bethany Bible College in Sussex, New Brunswick in 1983. After graduating in 1987, Bert served for a year in College Admissions at Bethany. He then accepted a call to Milliken Wesleyan Church in Toronto, as a Music and Youth Pastor.
In 1989, Bert married Dawn (nee: Horner) from Shawville, Quebec.
Beginning in 1990, they served as support staff with Freedom Ministries Scriptural Counselling Centre in Vermont. It was in 1993, that the Roblin Wesleyan Church invited Bert to be Pastor of Youth and Music. Bert has served at RWC since 1996.
Pastor Bert's responsibilities are in numerous administrative positions, such as Local Board of Administration, Missions and others. He is also very gifted in music; most often vocals and trumpet. Pastor Bert also leads the RWC Orchestra and Choir. He serves in the community as the Chairperson of the Napanee and District Christian Ministerial Association.
Paul DeMerchant - Pastor of Discipleship
Pastor Paul was the youngest child of five siblings, raised on a potato farm in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, where the words like "hard work", "family fun" and "Hockey Night in Canada" were household phrases.
As a teen, struggling to know God's best for him. Paul enrolled at Bethany Bible College. While on a missions trip to Europe with a Christian Sports Organization, he realized God was calling him into full time ministry.
Since graduating in 1989 with a BA in Religion, subsequently Paul has enjoyed serving in three different Wesleyan Churches with responsibilities in Youth, Assimilation and Discipleship. He also served at Bethany Bible College in Student Recruitment and Sports.
Paul loves his wife, Nancy (nee: Horner) and their children Adam and Alyson and a special brand of coffee that only "Tim" makes! Pastor Paul' s responsibilities at the RWC are Superintendent of Sunday school, Small Group Ministries, Children's Ministries, Membership and Baptisms and other areas of Discipleship.
Dusty Crozier - Youth Pastor
Pastor Dusty comes to us as a graduate of Bethany Bible College, graduating with a BA in Religion majoring in Global Ministry.
Even though having grown up in St. John, New Brunswick, this is not Dusty's first time in Ontario. He did his internship at Dundalk Wesleyan Church, just north of Toronto. He served in other ministry capacities along the way: Circle Square Ranch in New Brunswick, and short-term missions in Toronto, New York, Peru and Nunavut. He also served as a Youth Pastor at Grand Harbour Baptist Church in New Brunswick.
Dusty married Krista (nee:Campbell), also of Roblin Wesleyan Church in 2003. With great joy, daughter Lily Grace joined the family in March 2009.
Pastor Dusty's responsibilities at Roblin Wesleyan Church include Momentum Youth Ministries (Thursday Nights), Youth Sunday School, Special Youth Events and "Ignite" Youth Camp at Roblin Holiness Camp each August. He also serves as Worship Leader on Sunday mornings, as a talented guitarist, drummer and singer.
Kristy Dunham
Kristy has served at Roblin Wesleyan Church as Office Manager for about 3 1/2 years. She has attended the church with her husband, Mark and two sons Austin and Isaiah (wonderful red-heads!) for over 4 years.
She rededicated her life to Christ in her early twenties after realizing Jesus was the "only healer" of her past.
Kristy earned her BA in psychology and english from Queen's University in the mid nineties and her Social Work diploma in 2006. She loves serving the Lord in an administrative capacity; as a job, in a Christian environment with three great Pastors and wonderful people from the congregation! Kristy also takes on extra duties such as organizing mail campaign to local churches for upcoming events including Quest that is coming up in October with Josh McDowell.
Kristy has taken Christian education courses in the past and plans to continue her journey with RWC. The office at the church is open every weekday and the friendly voice that answers the phone is Kristy.
